In a significant step towards enhancing French language skill among university students in Uganda, the Association of University French Clubs (ACFUO) was launched at a grand event held yesterday at International University of East Africa (IUEA). The event was attended by students from universities of Makerere, Makerere Business School, Kyambogo, Kabale and IUEA . In her remarks, Louise emphasized the importance of the ACFUO as a platform for enhancing French language proficiency. “French is not just a language; it is a vehicle for cultural diversity and a bridge connecting Uganda with Francophone countries and international partners,” she stated. Louise also announced the embassy’s commitment to support the initiative, encouraging collaboration and idea-sharing among members. She revealed exciting plans for extending French learning opportunities in partnership with Alliance Francaise de Kampala.
