Jean SASA’s First Steps in Music Video Production at Mediavision Academy

John’s journey began when he moved to Uganda on September 3rd 2023, eager to learn English and video production. One day, while on his way to church, he landed upon the gates of Mediavision Academy and decided to inquire about videography courses—fulfilling a childhood dream! He eventually was enrolled officially starting his studies in August 2024. Soon John found himself shooting a music video for Hertier Lina’s debut song, “Mon Espérance,” which means “My Hope.”

Hertier, who recorded the song eight years ago in Congo, was thrilled to finally have a video made. “John’s brother approached me at church, asking if I needed a video for my song. I saw this as a golden opportunity!” Hertier shared with enthusiasm.
The song carries a heartfelt message: no matter the struggles you face, never lose hope, for God has a solution for every problem. Hertier aims to inspire the people of the Democratic Republic of Congo to pray for peace and believe that change is possible. With four songs recorded so far, “Mon Espérance” is the first to have a video, and Hertier is hopeful it will help promote his music and lead to finding a manager.

John couldn’t help but praise Mediavision Academy’s dedication to its students and the top-notch equipment available. He dreams of setting up his own studio back home in Congo after completing his studies, ready to put his newfound skills into practice!
In a world filled with challenges, John SASA’s story serves as a beacon of hope, reminding us all that with passion, determination, and the right opportunities, we can turn our dreams into frames that inspire others.
